Manifest Your Life Goals

I've spoken to a couple of people this year, who are big into the concept of manifestation. One claims to use it quite often in her life to help her clearly identify and achieve her goals. More excitingly, the second actually manifested her life partner...and I was lucky enough to photograph their wedding.

The manifestatio of true love

Now before you rush to judgment, even esteemed scientists have claimed that there's something in it. The concept of clearly identifying life goals and taking care of yourself to the point that you are in a positive frame of mind and focussed, means that you are effectively putting in place the perfect conditions to bring about your desires.

If you're reading this because you're interested in my wedding photography, then the chances are you've already found your soulmate. However, manifestation can be applied to any and all of life's goals and this post will explain how to go about doing just that. But the latter part of this post will also include a love spell, so if you believe that putting positivity out into the universe pays dividends, then share this post with one of your single friends.

Now, whilst the concept of manifestation, has been around in some shape or form for centuries - dating back to ancient civilisations, who regularly utilised love spells, it's perhaps not just down to the universe to answer your call to action. You need to put in the leg work too. In my view, the mystical part is trusting in the universe and being patient. When it comes to love and life goals, it's tempting to try and force, shape or mould a relationship or situation and that could be a grave error.

So where to start? Here are some pointers to help you become more centred, self aware, motivated, positive and attractive.

Number 1: Get into physical and mental shape.

Think about the message you want to put out there. It really should be positive. If the answers to the questions "Why do you want change?" or "Why do you want a partner?" are "I hate my boss" or "I'm tired of being alone" then you have work to do. Take some exercise, eat and sleep well and pursue activities that feed your soul and you will feel better about yourself and generally more positive. Don't believe me? Ever heard a friend say that she went for a walk "to clear my head"? There's a reason for that. Trust in nature. Being outside boosts those happy hormones and a happy you is more likely to give you clarity or attract a partner that will result in a happy match. Alternatively, take up a new challenge or hobby that somehow compliments the goal you are chasing. Anything that will make you feel better about yourself.

Number 2: Practice visualisation.

Try this at a quiet time of day - maybe every morning or evening. Think about the kind of lifestyle you want (list in order of priority, elements such as work/life balance, money, job satisfaction, location) or the type of person you are looking for and imagine what that life would look like. Think about the specific steps that are required or qualities that are non negotiable for you.

Number 3. Create a vision board.

You could use Pinterest or something more tangible like a future box where you can store inspirational materials related to your goal.

Number 4. Repetition, repetition, repetition.

There are various suggested methods, but what they all have in common is the process of writing down your goals repeatedly. Try to make this a daily routine.

Number 5. Establish your goals.

You can either create a worksheet, jotting down 10 things you desire, 10 things are are grateful for and 10 things you enjoy doing, or try keeping a journal and paying particular attention to the things that bring you joy and satisfaction and cultivate self acceptance and awareness of your own flaws.

Write it down!

Once you feel you're in the right place, if you're looking to attract a partner, you might want to incorporate a love spell. First a word of warning. Use with care! Do not try to make someone fall for you against their will! Your intentions should be positive only.

Use the moon

Choose the right place and time; quiet, privacy and calm are the watch words. Maybe consider the moon. Waxing is an excellent time and for your info, the next one is right around the corner from 1st November at 12:47 until 9th November at 05:55.

  1. Gather materials with a strong connection to love, for example rose petals, rose quartz crystals, or plants/flowers, such as forget-me-nots, gorse (symbolises enduring love, love in all seasons), daisies....there's a long list.

  2. Create your own altar and place the items on top. You can light candles if you wish to create a more ceremonial energy.

  3. Cleanse and purify the space by burning sage, lighting incense or sprinkling with salt water.

The perfect circle

  1. Create your safe zone - a circle using ribbon, string or rose petals. Visualise this as a protective barrier.

Choose your deity

  1. Perform your love spell ritual. There are lots to choose from. You could even create your own. Appeal to your chosen love deity - Aphrodite, Venus, Eros or Taylor Swift! Ask for guidance and protection. This can also take the form of prayer or meditation; whichever comes naturally. Express your desire to bring love into your life.

  2. Finally, close the circle and give thanks. Blow out your candles and untie the string or disperse the petals.

    Trust in time

Keep doing what you're doing. Be positive and open to love. Trust the universe and when the time comes, maybe exactly the person you've been looking for will walk into your life!

So, to conclude, whether you're hoping to change career, your country of residence, achieve greater work/life balance, overhaul your health and fitness or find your soulmate, there are numerous manifestation methods out there (the 777 method and 3-6-9 method for example), which all involve repeatedly writing down goals. But most importantly, visualise a clear path to your chosen destination. Be realistic and give thought to the changes you need to make to achieve your dream. Stay focused, surround yourself with mood boards and items associated with your goals and remember, have faith in yourself!
